Home About Us What's New Our Girls Litters Links

At MapleGlo, our goldens are our pets first and foremost. They train and/or compete in Conformation, Agility, Obedience, and Tracking.  We are happy with our standing in the Golden community. We strive to produce highly intelligent, structurally sound, healthy, loving puppies suited for multi-purpose households.  Whatever your area of interest may be, from the show ring to the family home, our puppies adapt very easily. We take  pride in our dogs and are very proud of their accomplishments.

We are members of Golden Retriever Club of America and the Lenape Golden Retriever Club along with many online groups to assist in staying up to date with the newest changes in golden husbandry. Our philosophy is quality not quantity. When we breed, we do so with the intent keeping back a puppy for ourselves along with complimenting our bitch and enhancing our breeding program. Puppies are raised in our home where they receive the much needed socialization, love and care required for a sound healthy and happy puppy. My commitment to the puppies is for life. I like to keep in touch with the new families and offer continual advice and support. All potential homes are screened carefully and only then do I select the "right" puppy for each home.

We hope you enjoy visiting the site. We have attempted to make it very informative, but I encourage you to feel free to contact me for more information in regard to our  puppies, our dogs, or the Golden Retriever breed in general.

There is a lot of time, thought and effort put into a breeding. It starts months before the breeding actually takes place.  The males are very selectively picked to match or improve upon the quality of the female for the betterment of the breed. Health and temperament are the most important factors for the puppies. I will not breed to a male who does not have all of his clearances.  You will be able to find the clearances on OFA or K9data of my female and also of the prospective male. Their final x-rays of hips and elbows must be done after they are 2 years of age and sent into OFA for grading. The heart must be cleared by a board certified Cardiologist along with a yearly eye exam by a board certified Ophthalmologist.

I want my dogs to be able to compete in any venue that is pursued, whether it is Conformation, Obedience, Agility, Tracking, Hunting or maybe a Therapy dog to visit the local hospitals and rehab facilities. The possibilities should be endless with a sound mind and body.

My goldens are part of the family and live in the house along with us. They are people dogs who love the human companionship.

A deposit of $500 will hold a puppy for you. The litter picks are made by myself with input from other breeders in order to match the puppy with the right family. All puppies will be sold on a spay/neuter contract and limited registration.
